miSport’s PitchVision system has been chosen to provide the key technology for this years NatWest Speed challenge
Every year the NatWest Interactive cricket roadshow holds the Speed Star competition where, over six months, NatWest searches the length and breadth of the country in quest of the eight fastest non-professional bowlers. This year, PitchVision joins with NatWest in the search.
The eight fastest winners in four age categories, are invited to compete in the NatWest Speed Stars Final, at the English Cricket Board's Academy in Loughborough where England internationals Darren Gough and Claire Conner also provide advice and coaching.
Last year, thousands turned up to demonstrate their speed in a fiercely contested competition but this year the excitement will be upped once more as new categories are added. Using PitchVision, players can now also be measured for spin, and accuracy as well as simple flat out speed.
miSport are excited to be part of what has become a traditional accompaniment to every England game through the summer, and a proud to be doing their part in encouraging participation in cricket.
